September 20 Game

We played the turquoise team this past Saturday. (forgive me, I forgot their name) And they beat us 4-2. But it's okay, because you can't win them all. The team had so much fun playing. I know that I love seeing them cheer each other on, and seing the parents rally behind every girl, not just the ones they brought. I know that Caitlin scored one of the goals, the other one was too fast for me to see, so let me know and I will add it to this entry. I do know that although Adrienne was disappointed, she stopped quite a few balls during her time as goalie. She is a wonderful team captain. Check out this week's photos.

Saturday September 13

The girls played their first game at Springdale Community Church. We played the Sparks. (the purple team) It was hot and damp, but we won anyway!!! We're awesome. The score was 2-1.

After the huddle with Coach Chad, the girls chanted their before game cheer: "Blue Lightning/Strike fast/Blue Lightning/Strike strong/Blue Lightning/Strike Proud/ B-L-U-E/Blue Lightning!" Then they collapse in a heap on the field.

The new season has begun!!! It's always so exciting when a new season starts, and the girls are so spirited and work so hard. This is a blog to follow the Blue Lightning this season and to remember it. Invite all of the relatives and friends that cannot attend the games to see the action firsthand.
The coaches are Chad and Anthony, and they have been coaching together for quite some time. You can see every Saturday how inspired the girls are by them, and the coaches get inspired by the girls as well. They want so much to make the team successful, but only if the team is united and having fun. And they are.
